On 13th January 2023 5 European countries submitted a proposal to ECHA (European Chemical Agency) for a European PFAS restriction. On 22nd of March ECHA opened the consultation period to submit objections to the proposal. This period runs to 25th of September 2023.

Many stakeholders, among which multi-nationals, SME’s and industry associations have provided input already. Though many objections have been sent so far we still advise you to submit in your personal response. Doing so, your specific product and/or application will also be taken into consideration, because ECHA will take all files submitted into account in the final decision concerning this ban.

Should you not have done a submission yet, there is only about 1 week to do so.
